11:01 pm	Site of the Week www.PROSPER.com Prosper.com is a very interesting website where people lend and borrow money from random people.  You can choose the interest rate at which you will lend, and the interest rate at which you would like to borrow.  You decide what's right for you.  Cool idea.  If you like eBay, this could be right for you!  I love consumer to consumer (C2C) companies.  I hope this one prospers.  It is different from eBay in that you are lending expecting something in return down the road.  eBay is instant.  If you don't get your money in a week or two, you know you're in trouble.  Not sure what happens here. The thing is they have a group option where people lend in a group. So basically, you don't have to worry that somebody is going to completely mess you over and you'll have to pick up the pieces alone.  If you don't get paid, at least you have pals to work with. This gets the weekly pick for creativity and innovation.  It is these sorts of companies that truly take advantage of the internet, and ultimately, for which the internet was created.  They break down the money and power barriers and empower the individual to get out in the world. 7:17 pm	Site of the Week AblePlay Toy Ratings -  http://www.AblePlay.org This is a new website with authoritative ratings and detailed reviews on toys for kids with special needs. It's run by the National Lekotek Center and is very helpful. Most of the toys on AblePlay have links to purchase toys online. Otherwise, you can print out the review and find the toys in stores or online on your own. Toys are evaluated by trained Lekotek staff and assigned an AblePlay rating according to their suitability for kids with physical, sensory, cognitive, and communicative disorders. There's also a comprehensive review of each toy for each type of disorder. Let your friends and therapists know about this website. There's a helluva of information there, including play ideas etc, and it's a great way to ensure your kid will get a fun toy that they can both use and learn from on their birthday or whenever.  Email a friend...
